1. Who we are

GEOrank is a SaaS platform that monitors brand visibility in AI-powered search engines. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy rights under GDPR and applicable privacy laws.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, name, and authentication credentials
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, and error logs
• Project data: brand names, URLs, descriptions, and search queries you configure
• Billing data: subscription plan and payment status (card details are handled exclusively by Stripe)

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the GEOrank service
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, plan changes)
• To improve product quality and diagnose technical issues
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your brand data for advertising purposes.

4. Third-party services

We share data with the following processors only to the extent necessary to deliver the service:

• Supabase — database and authentication (EU region)
• Stripe — payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
• OpenAI, Google, Anthropic — AI analysis of brand visibility (your brand queries are sent to these APIs)
• Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery

Each processor has their own privacy policy and data processing agreements in place.

5. Cookies

GEOrank uses only technically necessary cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. No consent banner is required because no optional cookies are set.

6. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all personal data and project data are permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for 7 years).

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure: request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: object to certain types of processing

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and role-based access controls. No system is 100% secure; we will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach that affects your data.
